About Krishnagar Women's College
Krishnagar Women’s College was established in the year 1958 for the purpose of promoting Women’s Education in and around Krishnagar. From its inception this College has been performing its duties with utmost efficiency. The Institution not only boasts of a beautiful campus, but also has computerized library facilities, Network Resource Centre, safe and hygienic hostel for the students, expansive playground, Women’s Study Cell, Gymnasium and attractive sports facilities. The College is efficiently administered by the Principal and the Governing Body, members of which are elected periodically.
The College has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in 2005 with B++ grade. It is the second College in Nadia district in general and only Women’s College which has been accredited in 2005. The college is trying to cater to the needs of the students and offers facilities for their enhancement of knowledge and enrichment in every field.
The College was previously affiliated to the University of Calcutta. In the year 1998 it came under the aegis of the University of Kalyani.
