I’ve had the pleasure of singing grand stages of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Town Hall. And I’ve equally enjoyed the privilege of singing at local folk clubs, small house concerts and community fundraiser events, where I’ve had the opportunity to share my songs and my story.
Career highlights for me include: Opening my one-woman show “The Art Of Letting Go” back in 2012 to sell-out audiences at the Riverside Theatres; performing my quirky song “A Duck Named Sybil” with hundreds of public school students for the Arts Alive Choral Concerts in 2018; working with ARIA and Emmy award-winning producer and former Thirsty Merc guitarist, Sean Carey on my studio albums, Nightlight, The Remains Of The Day my latest release To The Least Of These.
I cherish the many emails I receive from fans in Australia and abroad whom I have never met. I love hearing a little of their story and how my songs have intersected with their experiences. For me, this is where it’s at. It still amazes me the capacity of an honest song to connect complete strangers in the shared human experience.
As a teenager, I used to lock myself in my room and listen to songwriters sing about life and love through the speakers of my tiny cheap cassette player. Songs were a lifeline for me. They were the soundtrack to the good and the bad times. They kept me company on lonely days and met me in times of need.
My hope with every song I release is that it will mean for someone else what the songs of other writers have meant for me.
