ईशान कैसा बालक है ?
उत्तर:
आमिर खान का फ़िल्म ‘तारे ज़मीं पर’ में अभिनय किया हुआ छोटा लड़का है ईशान अवस्थी । यह लड़का आठ वर्ष का है | बचपन से ही उसका मन पढाई में नहीं लगता है। इसके विपरीत उसका मन कुत्तों, मछलियों और पेंटिंग में लगता है । वह प्रतिभाशाली लड़का है । उसके माँ – बाप तो उसे पढ़ाई पर ध्यान देने मजबूर करते हैं । इसके लिए वे ईशान को डाँटते हैं। इस तरह ईशान घर पर माता – पिता की और स्कूल में अध्यापकों की डाँट खाकर उदास रहा करता है । वह डिसलेक्सिया की समस्या से पीड़ित है । उसे अक्षरों को पढ़ने में तकलीफ़ होती हैं। लेकिन वही ईशान निकुंभ सर की प्रेरणा से वज्र की तरह चमक उठता है ।

बच्चों के प्रति निकुंभ सर के विचार कैसे हैं?
उत्तर:
रामशंकर निकुंभ सर पाठशाला में काम करनेवाले एक कला अध्यापक थे । वे बडे सहृदयी, प्रेममयी, दयालू और होशियार व्यक्ति थे | बच्चों के प्रति उनके विचार बडे उदार थे । वे जानते थे कि बच्चे ओस की बूंदों की तरह शुद्ध और पवित्र होते हैं । साथ ही हर एक बच्चे को किसी न किसी विषय के प्रति श्रद्धा होती है। इसलिए पढाई के साथ – साथ श्रद्धा रखनेवाले विषय की ओर बच्चों को प्रोत्साहन दें तो वे जरूर उसमें सफल होते विद्वत्ता दिखाकर महान व्यक्ति बनते । अपने और देश का नाम उज्ज्वल करते। ज़बरदस्ती बच्चों को पढ़ाने का प्रयत्न करना ठीक नहीं है । ऐसा करने से बच्चा निकम्मा बन जाता है ।
इतना ही नहीं बच्चों में अच्छे गुण बोने से वे उत्तम चरित्रवाले होते हैं। निकंभ सर इसी विचार के रखनेवाले हैं । इसीलिए ही ईशान का दिल पहचानकर उसे श्रेष्ठ कलाकार बना दिया ।

बच्चों के जीवन में पाठशाला की क्या भूमिका होनी चाहिए?
उत्तर:
छोटे बच्चे तो ओस की बूंदों की तरह शुद्ध और पवित्र होते हैं। अकसर वे खेलते – खेलते सब सीख लेते हैं। जब वे ज्ञानार्जन के योग्य बनते हैं तो उन्हें पाठशाला में भर्ती करते हैं । पाठशाला उनके लिए मंदिर जैसा है । यहीं से बच्चों का सर्वांगीण उन्नति आरंभ होती है । ऐसा महत्व रखनेवाली पाठशाला में उनको सदाचार, सहृदयता, भाईचारे की भावना, अनुशासन, विषयज्ञान, कलाओं के प्रति आसक्ति आदि अनेक उत्तम गुण सिखाये जाते हैं। पाठशाला में ज्ञानार्जन करते समय ही बच्चे अपने भविष्य जीवन के लिए आवश्यक नींव डालते जाते हैं। अतः पाठशाला ही बच्चों को उनके जीवन में सुनागरिक बनने आवश्यक चरित्र गुण सिखानेवाला सच्चा पुण्य स्थल है । इस तरह बच्चों के जीवन में पाठशाला की प्रमुख भूमिका रहती है।

‘तारे ज़मीं पर’ समीक्षा का निष्कर्ष क्या है?
उत्तर:
आमिर खान द्वारा बनाया गया “तारे ज़मीं पर” सचमुच एक प्रभावशाली फ़िल्म है | यह एक मुख्य आशय को सिद्ध करनेवाला फ़िल्म हैं। इस फ़िल्म का मुख्य आशय है कि मासूम दिखनेवाले छोटे बच्चों में अनेक विशेषताएँ छिपी रहती हैं। ऐसी शक्तियों को पहचानकर, उन्हें साकार बनाने का मौका देना चाहिए। खासकर, पाठशाला में पढ़ते समय ही अध्यापकों को चाहिए कि विद्यार्थी (शिष्य) की अभिरुचि किसमें है । उसी ओर आगे बढ़ने की प्रेरणा दी जाए तो वह अपना कौशल दिखाकर उन्नति कर सकता है । यही इस फ़िल्म की समीक्षा का निष्कर्ष है ।
तारे ज़मीं पर Summary in English
Children are pure and holy like dew drops. They are tomorrow’s citizens. Nowadays efforts for making toppers, rankers are being made at every home. Most of the parents are not trying to know what lies in their children’s minds, what are they thinking, what are their views.
Amir Khan poses these questions in his film “Tare Zameen Par.’ The story of that film is as follows.
An eight year-old Eesan Avasthi concentrates his mind on the nature and drawing and painting but not on his studies. His parents want him to concentrate on his studies. But their efforts go in vain. Eesan is scolded by his parents at home. He is even scolded by his teachers at school. Nobody makes an attempt to know why he doesn’t concentrate on studies. Instead, they send him to a boarding school.
The ever smile and active Eesan fades away after going there. He becomes hesitant and passive. Their arts teacher Ramsankar Nikumbh notices him. He comes to know the reason for Eesan’s passivity. Besides, he even comes to know that Eesan is a very talented boy. He finds that Easan suffers from a disease called ‘Disleksia’. Eesan feels difficult to read letters in books. With his love and affection Ramsankar Nikumbh makes Eesan display his skills and talents before all.
The story is simple. But Amir Khan directed it with his artistic excellence. Screen play was healthy and satisfactory. Thought-provoking scenes had been picturized. They are very touching.
Eesan’s fleeing from school, wandering on roads, breathing pure and fresh air, noticing the building being painted, free-living and playing of children living on footpaths and eating hailstones etc., make most of the spectators recollect their childhood days.
What the prime thing of all is that taking Eesan as a means, the latent talents of children had been effectively and beautifully picturized. Towards the end of the film, Eesan is introduced as an artist. He gets the first prize in Arts Exhibition. In this film Amir reveals his innocence. This film too receives an award. Thus this film is evident as to how a student (disciple) betters his talents and achieves progress with the cooperation and inspiration of his teacher.
Darseel Safari who played the role of Eesan is life for this film. No one says that this boy acted. This innocent-looking boy shows every feeling viz. fear, anger, sadness and humour in his face excellently. Perhaps, that is why he is given less dialogues.

పిల్లలు మంచు బిందువుల వలే శుద్ధమైనవారు, పవిత్రమైనవారు. వాళ్ళు రేపటి పౌరులు. ఈ రోజున ప్రతి ఇంటి నుండి టాపర్లు, ర్యాంకర్లను తయారుచేయడం కోసం ప్రయత్నాలు జరుగుచున్నవి. చాలా మంది పిల్లల మనస్సుల్లో ఏమి ఉందో వాళ్ళు ఏమి ఆలోచిస్తున్నారో ? వాళ్ళ అభిప్రాయాలేమిటో తెలుసుకోవడం లేదు.
ఈ ప్రశ్నలనే ఆమిర్ ఖాన్ తన సినిమా “తారే జమీఁ పర్” (భూమిపై నక్షత్రాలు) లో లేవనెత్తాడు. ఆ సినిమా కథ ఇలా ఉన్నది –
ఎనిమిది సం||రాల వయస్సు కలిగిన ఈశాన్ అవస్థీ మనస్సు చదువు మీద కాకుండా కుక్కలు, చేపలు మరియు పెయింటింగ్ (రంగులు వేయడం, బొమ్మలు గీయడం) పై నిమగ్నమై ఉంటుంది. వాళ్ళ అమ్మ, నాన్నలు అతడు చదువుపై ధ్యాస పెట్టాలని కోరుకుంటారు. కానీ ఫలితమేమీ లేదు. ఈశాన్ ఇంట్లో అమ్మ-నాన్నలతో తిట్లు తింటాడు. పాఠశాలలో ఉపాధ్యాయులచేత కూడా తిట్లు తింటాడు. ఎవ్వరూ ఈశాన్ చదువుపై ధ్యాస ఎందుకు చూపడం లేదో తెలుసుకునే ప్రయత్నమే చేయరు. దీనికి బదులుగా ఈశాన ను బోర్డింగ్ స్కూల్ కు పంపిస్తారు.
నవ్వులు చిందిస్తూ వికసించి ఉన్న ఈశాన్ అక్కడికి వెళ్ళి వడిలి (చిక్కి) పోతాడు. అతడు ఎల్లప్పుడూ సంకోచంగా (భయంగా) ఉదాసీనంగా ఉంటాడు. అతనిపై కళల ఉపాధ్యాయుడు “రామ్ శంకర్ నికుంబ్ ” దృష్టి పడుతుంది. అతనికి ఈశాన్ ఉదాసీనంగా ఉండడానికి గల కారణం తెలుస్తుంది. అంతేకాదు ఈశాన్ ఒక గొప్ప ప్రతిభావంతుడు అన్న విషయం కూడా తెలుస్తుంది. కానీ అతడు “డిస్లెక్సియా” అనే వ్యాధితో బాధపడుతున్నట్లు ఆయన గ్రహిస్తాడు. ఈశాన్ కి అక్షరాలు చదవడం చాలా కష్టంగా ఉంటుంది. తన ప్రేమ మరియు మురిపాలతో “రామ్ శంకర్ నికుంభ్ ” గారు ఈశాన్ లోనున్న ప్రతిభాపాటవాలను అందరి ముందు ప్రదర్శింపజేస్తారు.
కథ చాలా సరళమైనదే. కానీ ఆమిర్ ఖాన్ తన ప్రతిభతో తెరపైకి ఎక్కించాడు. చిత్రకథ నిర్మాణం చాలా ఆరోగ్యకరంగా సాగింది. చిన్న, చిన్న భావగర్జిత దృశ్యాలు చిత్రీకరించబడ్డాయి. అవి నేరుగా హృదయాన్ని స్పృశిస్తాయి.
ఈశాన్ స్కూలు వదలి పారిపోవడం, రోడ్లపై తిరగడం, స్వచ్ఛమైన తాజా గాలిని శ్వాసించడం, భవనాలకు రంగులు వేయడం చూడడం, ఫుట్ పాత్ పై నివసించే పిల్లలు స్వేచ్ఛతో ఆడుకోవడం, మంచుగడ్డల (వడగండ్ల) ను తినడం లాంటి దృశ్యాలను చూసి చాలామంది ప్రజలు తన బాల్య జ్ఞాపకాలను తలచుకుంటారు తాజాగా.
అన్నిటికంటే ముఖ్యమైన విషయం ఏమిటంటే “ఈశాన్ మాధ్యమంగా పిల్లల్లోని దాగి ఉన్న ప్రతిభను అందంగా చిత్రీకరించడం జరిగింది. సినిమా చివరిలో ఈశానను ఒక చిత్ర కళాకారునిగా పరిచయం చేయడం జరిగింది. చిత్రకళా ప్రదర్శనలో అతనికి ప్రథమ బహుమతి లభిస్తుంది. ఈ చిత్రంలో ఆమిర్ తన అమాయకత్వాన్ని ప్రదర్శిస్తాడు. ఈ సినిమాకి కూడా బహుమతి ఇవ్వబడుతుంది. ఈ విధంగా ఒక శిష్యుడు తన ఉపాధ్యాయుని యొక్క ప్రేరణతో ఎలా ముందుకు సాగిపోతాడో దీనికి ప్రమాణం (ఋజువు) ఈ సినిమా.
ఈశాన్ పాత్ర పోషించిన దర్శీల్ సఫారీ ఈ సినిమాకి ప్రాణం. ఈ పిల్లవాడు నటించాడంటే ఎవ్వరికీ నమ్మకం కలుగలేదు. అమాయకంగా కన్పించే ఈ పిల్లవాడు భయం, కోపం, విచారం మరియు హాస్యం ప్రతి భావాన్ని తన ముఖంలో కనబరిచాడు. బహుశా అందుకే అతనికి సంభాషణ తక్కువగా ఇవ్వడం జరిగింది.
