उत्तर:
बालक चन्द्र एक होशियार और तेज़ बुद्धिवाला था। उसने सम्राट से अनुमति ली और पिंजरे के पास जाकर सिंह को ध्यान से देखा। उसने बुद्धि लगाकर खूब जान लिया कि वह सिंह मोम से बना हुआ है। वह जानता था कि आग की गरमी से मोम पिघल जायेगा। इसलिए सम्राट से कहकर पिंजरे के चारों ओर जलाने का प्रबन्ध करवाया। इससे मोम का बना सिंह आग की लपटों से पिघलकर ग़ायब हो गया।
प्रश्न 3.
इस कहानी से क्या शिक्षा मिलती है?
उत्तर:
“बुद्धिमान बालक” एक नीतिपरक कहानी है। ईश्वर की दी हुई प्रतिभा सब लोगों में रहती है। जब कोई समस्या आए, उसे बुद्धिमत्ता से सुलझाना चाहिए। वास्तव में मगध के लोग होशियार ही थे। लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी बुद्धि कुशलता नहीं दिखाई। बालक होने पर भी चन्द्र अपनी अकल से इसे सुलझाया। कोई जटिल समस्या आये तो उसे होशियारी और बुद्धिमत्ता से सुलझाना ही महानता है। यही इस कहानी से मिलनेवाली शिक्षा है।
बुद्धिमान बालक Summary in English
It was the court of Pataliputra, the capital of Magadha kingdom. All the officers and the courtiers attended the court. A large number of people assembled to see the happening there. A big iron cage was placed at one side of the court. There was a lion in the cage was locked. Ordered by the emperor Mahapadmananda, the Prime Minister told the gatekeeper to make the announcement.
The gatekeeper announced that one would try his luck to make the lion invisible without unlocking the cage and get a good reward. He would also get felicitated. The people feared that they would get killed if the lion came out of the cage. They pleaded the emperor to hold the test in any other form.
Then the emperor said that it was a test for the wise people of Magadha kingdom put by the neighbouring kingdom. He assured them not to be afraid as certain safety measures were taken. Everybody in the court remained silent. The emperor doubted if there were no wise people in his kingdom.
Then a brave boy came forward. He said that he would make the lion invisible. He requested the emperor to give him a chance.
The emperor and the Prime Minister tried to convince the boy. But he was unyielding. The emperor told him not to be stubborn otherwise he would keep the boy in the cage. Yet the boy ran towards the cage coming off his mother’s grip. He said that he would agree to the punishment if he did not solve the problem.
The emperor agreed. The boy went nearer to the cage and observed the lion carefully. He found the secret hidden in it. Everyone in the court was curious to know what the boy would do.
The boy wanted the emperor to arrange fire on all four sides of the cage. On the emperor’s order, the fire was arranged. Soon the cage was surrounded by the fire. As they were looking on the lion gradually became invisible. The flames were also appeared. The people assembled there were very much surprised to see that. The cage was empty.
The boy showed it to the emperor and said that the lion was made invisible from the cage even it.was locked.
The boy observed the construction of the lion carefully and allowed it to melt with the heat of the fire (The lion was made with wax).
The emperor admired the boy’s wisdom and rewarded him accordingly.
बुद्धिमान बालक Summary in Telugu
మగధ రాజధాని పాటలీపుత్రములోని రాజదర్బారులోని ఒక ముఖ్య గది. చక్రవర్తియగు మహాపద్మనందుడు ఒక అలంకరించబడిన సింహాసనంపై కూర్చునియుండిరి. అధికారులందరూ, సభాసదులందరూ తమ, తమ స్థానాలలో కూర్చునియుండిరి. ప్రేక్షకులతో రాజదర్బారు నిండియున్నది. ఒకవైపు ఒక పెద్ద ఇనుప పంజరము ఉంచబడినది. ఆ పంజరంలో ఒక సింహం వున్నది. పంజరపు తలుపు తాళము వేయబడి యున్నది.
చక్రవర్తి : మహామంత్రి.
మహామంత్రి : ఆజ్ఞ. మహారాజా.
చక్రవర్తి : ఏర్పాట్లన్నీ పూర్తియైనవి కదా !
మహామంత్రి : అవును మహారాజా ! ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ఎడల ప్రకటించెదను.
చక్రవర్తి : ఆజ్ఞ ఇవ్వడమైనది.
మహామంత్రి : ద్వారపాలకా !
ద్వారపాలకా : (అభివాదం చేసెను.) ఆజ్ఞ మంత్రివర్యా.
మహామంత్రి : మగధ చక్రవర్తి ప్రకటనను సభలో వినిపించండి.
ద్వారపాలకా : ఆజ్ఞ మహారాజా ! (పెద్ద గొంతుతో చదవడం ప్రారంభించెను.)
“సభాసదులారా, ప్రజలారా చక్రవర్తి శ్రీ మహాపద్మనందుని తరఫున ఈ ప్రకటన ఇవ్వబడుచున్నది – ఏ వ్యక్తి తాళం పంజరం తెరవకుండా, ముందు వున్న పంజరం నుండి సింహాన్ని మాయం చేస్తాడో అతనికి బహుమతి ఇవ్వబడును. అతనికి సన్మానం చేయబడును. ఎవరైనా తమ అదృష్టాన్ని పరీక్షించుకోదలచినవారు ముందుకు రావచ్చు. (సభా భవనం అంతటా నిశ్శబ్దం ఆవరించి యుంటుంది.)
సభలోని ఒక వ్యక్తి : మహారాజుగారి పరాక్రమములకు జయము.
పంజరం తెరవకుండా సింహాన్ని మాయం చేయడం సంభవమవుతుందా ?
మహామంత్రి : మహారాజులుగారి ఆదేశం సమస్యను పరిష్కరించడం, వాదించడం కాదు. ఇది బుద్ధి పరీక్ష.
బుద్ధిమంతులు, తెలివికలవారు మాత్రమే ఈ విధంగా చేయగలరు. ఇదే మా నమ్మకం
2వ సభాసదుడు : గౌరవనీయా ! (మాన్యవర్యా) ఈ అసంభవ కార్యాన్ని పరమేశ్వరుడే సంభవం చేయగలడు. నాకు
భగవంతుడు తప్పితే ఈ పని ఎవరూ చేయలేరనిపిస్తున్నది. (అన్యుల వశం కాని మాట.)
మహామంత్రి : ఈశ్వరుని చేత ఇవ్వబడిన ప్రతిభ అందరిలో ఉంటుంది. ఎవరో ఒక ప్రతిభావంతుడు ఈ
అసంభవ పనిని సంభవం చేయవచ్చు.
జనసముదాయం : ఒకవేళ సింహం బయటకు వస్తే మమ్మల్నందర్నీ తినివేయడం ఖాయం. తమరు దీనిని బయటకు
రానీయకండి. బుద్ధి పరీక్ష మరే ఇతర విధంగానైనా జరపవచ్చు. ఇదే మా ప్రార్థన.
చక్రవర్తి : ఈ సమస్య మగధ రాజ్య బుద్ధిమంతులకు పొరుగు రాజ్యం వారి తరఫున ఇవ్వబడిన ఒక ఎంపిక, భయపడవలసిన విషయం ఏమీ లేదు. అందర్నీ రక్షించే ఏర్పాటు చేయబడినది. మీరు శాంతియుతంగా సమస్య పరిష్కారం వెతకండి.
(కొంచెంసేపు సభా భవనంలో నిశ్శబ్దం ఆవరిస్తుంది.)
చక్రవర్తి : అయితే ఈ మగధలో ప్రతిభకు లోటు ఉన్నదని, బుద్ధిమంతులు లేరని నన్ను అనుకోమంటారా?
బాలుడు : మహారాజులవారికి జయం కలుగుగాక. నేను ఈ పని చేయగలను. మహారాజా ! సింహాన్ని మాయం చేసే అవకాశం (అనుమతి) నాకు ఇవ్వండి.
(అందరూ ఆశ్చర్యంగా ఆ బాలునివైపు చూస్తారు.)
మహామంత్రి : నిర్భయ బాలకా ! నీ పేరేమి ?
బాలుడు : శ్రీమాన్ ! నన్నందరూ చంద్ర అంటారు.
మహామంత్రి : చంద్రా ! ఇది పిల్లల ఆట కాదు.
నీవు వెళ్ళి పిల్లలు ఆడుకునే ఆట ఆడుకో. ఎగురు, గంతులు వేయి. పరుగెత్తు. ఇది ఒక సాధారణమైన ఆట కాదు. బుద్ధితో కూడిన ఆట.
బాలుడు : మహామంత్రి ! ఈ పోటీలో తమరు వయస్సుకు కూడా హద్దులు ఏర్పరిచారా?
మహామంత్రి : నవ్వి) కుమారా (వత్సా) సూది కత్తి పని చేయదు.
బాలుడు : ‘ మహోదయా ! అవును. కత్తి కూడా సూది పని చేయదు కదా !
(కత్తి కూడా సూది స్థానం పొందదు కదా !)
చక్రవర్తి : ఈ బాలుడు ఎవరు?
మహామంత్రి : మహారాజా ! ఈ బాలుడు మొండి బాలుడు.
చక్రవర్తి’ : బాలుడా, పట్టుదల వద్దు. లేకుంటే నిన్ను సింహపు పంజరంలో ఉంచెదము.
(బాలుని తల్లి ఆ బాలుణ్ణి (పిల్లవాణ్ణి) ఒక వైపు లాగు ప్రయత్నం చేస్తుంది. కానీ బాలుడు తన చేయి విడిపించుకుని పంజరం వద్దకు వెడతాడు).
బాలుడు : మహారాజా ! నేను సమస్యకు సమాధానం చెప్పలేకపోతే ఏ శిక్ష అయినా విధించండి. కానీ నాకు పంజరం వద్దకు వెళ్ళే అనుమతి ఇవ్వండి.
చక్రవర్తి : సంతోషంగా వెళ్ళవచ్చు.
(బాలుడు పంజరం (బోను) వద్దకు వెళ్ళి సింహాన్ని జాగ్రత్తగా పరిశీలిస్తాడు. తన బుద్ధితో అన్వేషిస్తాడు. సింహం రహస్యాన్ని తెలుసుకుంటాడు. సభలో వారంతా ఆశ్చర్యంగా చూస్తుంటారు.
అందరిలో తర్వాత ఏమి జరుగుతుందా? అనే కుతూహలం నిండి వుంది.)
బాలుడు : మహారాజా ! నేను సింహాన్ని బయటకు తీస్తాను. తమరు దయచేసి బోను నాల్గువైపులా మంటను ఏర్పాటు చేయించండి. నన్ను కొంచెంసేపు నా పనిని చేయనియ్యండి. (చక్రవర్తి ఆదేశానుసారం బోను నాల్గువైపులా మంటను ఏర్పాటు చేయడం జరుగుతుంది. బోను మంట జ్వాలలతో చుట్టబడుతుంది. చూస్తూ చూస్తూ ఉండగానే సింహం మాయమవుతుంది. అగ్ని జ్వాలలు నెమ్మదిగా శాంతిస్తాయి. ప్రజలంతా తమ తమ స్థానాలనుండి ఈ ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన దృశ్యం చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోయిరి. బోను ఖాళీ అవుతుంది.
బాలుడు : చూడండి మహారాజా ! సింహం బోను నుండి అదృశ్యమైనది. బోను తాళం అలానే ఉన్నది.
చక్రవర్తి : వాహ్ ! చాలా బాగుంది. చంద్రా. నీవు గారడీ చేశావ్. నీవు నీ తెలివితేటలతో సింహం నిర్మాణాన్ని గమనించి దాన్ని మంటల వేడితో కరిగించావు.
