जैसे ही रघु आगे बढ़ा कि रामपुर के खिलाड़ियों ने उसे चारो ओर से घेर लिया वे निश्चिंत थे कि. घेर करके रघु को पकड़ लेंगे। सारे खिलाड़ी एकबारगी रघु पर टूट पड़े। रघु गिर पड़ा तो सारे खिलाड़ी भी उस पर ही गिर पड़े और उसे कसकर पकड़ लिये । वह रघु को मजबूर कर रहे थे कि . वह ‘हल्दी-चूना’ बोलकर अपनी हार को जल्दी मान ले । लेकिन रघु ने स्वयं पर काबू रखा और उठने की पूरी कोशिश की पर उसकी कोशिश बेकार रही। वह उठने में असमर्थ रहा।
