This is the English version of the poem 'Swargave, Bhumiyoliradire Neenu', a poem in Kannada, written by Kuvempu, one of the most respected poets of Karnataka.

The poem tries to give the reader a glimpse of the poet's rationalist outlook. The poet has tried to argue that concepts like 'heaven', 'god', 'nymphs' etc. are creations of man. Entities like 'heaven' and 'god' exist only on earth and you cannot find them anywhere else. The poet suggests that one should experience divinity and enjoy heavenly bliss only in the company of nature. The poet strongly believes that 'heaven and earthly' are not separate or two separate entities and argues that there is no difference between worshiping or worshiping nature and worshiping or worshiping God.

In the first two lines the poet addresses 'heaven' and insists that if heaven is not on earth then where else can it be. It just means that the reader need not look for 'heaven' in the sky; If there is a being called 'heaven' then it should be found only on earth and nowhere else.

The poet refers to our beliefs about 'gods' and 'heavenly nymphs'. The poet expresses his belief that there is no specific or substantial entity called 'God' and it is man himself who is God. Similarly, there exists no institution called 'heavenly apsara'. He firmly believes that we are Apsaras ourselves, and Apsaras are not to be found anywhere else but on this earth.

The poet wants to dispel the popular belief that gods and apsaras reside in heaven. The poet, who seeks to disprove such beliefs, tells the reader that we should become deities and nymphs ourselves. The poet wants us to give up the belief that we go to heaven after death where we find gods and apsaras.

The poet tries to acquaint us with the different forms or parts of heaven that exists on earth. He presents a mesmerizing picture of 'Prakriti' in its pristine form. The poet says that when we see the roaring streams bouncing down from the tops of the hills, the waves rolling on their banks and rolling in the sea, the soft rays of sunlight, what we get enjoys'. Falling over the vast expanse of lush green forests and warming the earth, the gentle sun makes this earth a 'paradise'.

The poet has mentioned the harvest season and the beauty of the moonlit night. He declares that one finds heavenly bliss when one sees the splendor of the harvest and the moonlit night. The poet ends the poem by saying that the poet who imbibes this heavenly bliss spreads the nectar of heaven on this earth through his poetry.

A poet is endowed with a high level of imagination and sensitivity. With these qualities the poet appreciates the beauty of nature and in turn, the poet enables others to see heaven on earth.

In short, the poet argues that we do not need to seek heaven after death, but we can enjoy heavenly bliss while still alive, if we have 'eyes' to see 'heaven' on this earth. be. Heaven is only on earth and nowhere else. Seeing the splendor of nature, one is sure to enjoy the pleasures of heaven. The poet urges the reader to understand the tremendous energy that lies beneath the physical beauty of nature. This idea can be taken as the message of the poem.
