गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने लड़कों को पेड़ का निरीक्षण करने के लिए कहा। फिर उसने एक लड़के से कहा कि वह उसे बताए कि उसने क्या देखा। लड़के ने उससे कहा कि उसने पेड़, उसकी सूंड, डालियाँ, उसके ऊपर का आकाश और उसके नीचे की ज़मीन देखी है। उसे वापस भेज दिया गया।

तब उन्होंने पांडवों में सबसे बड़े युधिष्ठिर को बुलाया और उनसे वही प्रश्न पूछा। युधिष्ठिर ने उत्तर दिया कि वह पेड़, पक्षी, अपने भाइयों, दोस्तों और सब कुछ देख सकता है। गुरु द्रोण ने उससे कहा कि वह लक्ष्य को गोली नहीं मार सकता। फिर, उसने दूसरे लड़कों को बारी-बारी से बुलाया और उनसे वही सवाल पूछा। वह उनके उत्तरों से संतुष्ट नहीं था।

बाद में, द्रोण ने अर्जुन को बुलाया और उससे पूछा कि क्या वह पेड़ के शीर्ष पर पक्षी को देख सकता है। अर्जुन ने उत्तर दिया कि वह केवल पक्षी की गर्दन और सिर देख सकता है। गुरु प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने अर्जुन से पक्षी पर तीर चलाने को कहा। अर्जुन ने कृत्रिम पक्षी के गले में तीर मारा और वह जमीन पर गिर गया।

ईर्ष्यालु दुर्योधन को छोड़कर अन्य सभी लड़कों ने अर्जुन को बधाई दी। गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने अर्जुन को आशीर्वाद दिया और उन्हें सलाह दी कि एकाग्रता और ध्यान सफलता की कुंजी है और उन्हें हमेशा ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहिए। एक अन्य अवसर पर, जब गुरु द्रोण एक धारा में अपने पैर धो रहे थे, एक मगरमच्छ ने उनका पैर पकड़ लिया। उसने घबराने का नाटक किया और लड़कों को बचाने के लिए चिल्लाया। अन्य सभी लड़के जो किनारे पर खड़े थे, अवाक और भ्रमित थे।

The given text 'Methods of Learning' is a quote from the holy epic 'Mahabharata'. Guru Dronacharya taught the art of archery to the Pandavas and Kauravas as a part of the military service that the princes of those days had to learn.

One day, Guru Dronacharya wanted to test his disciples, therefore, he asked them to gather in a large open ground in front of the Hastinapur palace. He asked them to take their bow and arrows and be ready to show their skills when he summoned each of them. They enthusiastically agreed. The Guru had installed an artificial bird made of wood and grass on top of a tree branch. The boys had to kill the bird on the tree.

Guru Dronacharya asked the boys to inspect the tree. Then he asked a boy to tell him what he saw. The boy told him that he had seen the tree, its trunk, its branches, the sky above it and the ground below it. He was sent back.

Then he called Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas, and asked him the same question. Yudhishthira replied that he could see trees, birds, his brothers, friends and everything. Guru Drona told him that he could not shoot the target. Then, he called the other boys in turn and asked them the same question. He was not satisfied with their answers.

Later, Drona called Arjuna and asked him if he could see the bird at the top of the tree. Arjuna replied that he could only see the neck and head of the bird. The Guru was pleased and asked Arjuna to shoot an arrow at the bird. Arjun shot an arrow in the neck of the artificial bird and it fell to the ground.

Except for the jealous Duryodhana, all the other boys congratulated Arjuna. Guru Dronacharya blessed Arjuna and advised him that concentration and meditation are the keys to success and he should always be focused. On another occasion, when Guru Drona was washing his feet in a stream, a crocodile caught hold of him. He pretended to be nervous and shouted to save the boys. All the other boys who stood on the shore were speechless and confused.

And Arjuna bravely responded immediately. Avoiding the feet of his master, he shot an arrow at the crocodile's mouth and Drona drove the crocodile away. Thus saved his master from the crocodile. Guru Drona commended Arjuna for this achievement and set an example of Arjuna's dexterity, quick and appropriate reactive action for others to follow. He explained that those qualities are the key to achieving goals and success.
