पाठ "लेग ट्रैप" मनोरमा जाफ़ा द्वारा लिखित एक लघु कहानी है। पाठ का मुख्य पात्र धीरा है। उसने अपने पिता को खो दिया और अपनी माँ और बहन के साथ रहने लगा। स्कूल के घंटों के बाद उन्हें एक सिनेमा हॉल के पास जूते चमकाए गए। एक गर्म दिन, वह एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गया और अपनी कमाई गिनने लगा, उसने सुना कि एक चोर ने आभूषण की दुकान से एक हार लूट लिया है। वह बहुत उत्सुक था और अधिक विवरण जानने के लिए आभूषण की दुकान की ओर जाना चाहता था। लेकिन एक ग्राहक आया और उससे अपने जूते पॉलिश करने को कहा। धीरा अपना काम शुरू कर रहा था और उसने आकलन किया कि ग्राहक अमीर आदमी और प्रभावशाली था। उसने देखा कि दो पुलिसकर्मी उसकी ओर आ रहे हैं।

The text "Leg Trap" is a short story written by Manorama Jaffa. The main character of the text is Dhara. He lost his father and lived with his mother and sister. After school hours, he was made to shine his shoes near a cinema hall. One hot day, as he sat under a tree and began to count his earnings, he heard that a thief had robbed a necklace from a jewelery shop. He was very curious and wanted to head towards the jewelery shop to know more details. But a customer came and asked him to polish his shoes. Dheera was starting his work and assessed that the client was a wealthy man and influential. He saw two policemen coming towards him.

While Dheera was polishing the shoe, he found something sticking to his back. To his surprise, it was a gold necklace. He thought of a plan, tied the two laces of both the shoes together and ran towards the policeman. The customer tried to run away but he fell down. Two policemen came and arrested the jewel thief. He had a gold necklace in his shoes and a beard in his pocket. Dheera was praised for her presence of mind. Police and jeweler rewarded him. He was also awarded a medal in his school for his bravery.
Though Dheera was a little boy, he was brave and showed his courage in finding the thief.
