The doctor wonders and asks Swami if he knows the meaning of the delirium. When Swami says that delirium must be something like abdominal pain, the doctor laughs heartily. The doctor then tells Swami that he will not be able to give the certificate. When Swami solemnly requests him to help, the doctor promises to talk to the headmaster and convince Swami to allow him to go for practice. Swami was greatly relieved and left, thanking the doctor for taking pity on him.
