She later joined teaching work in 1884 and after that in 1892 she started her own school in the name of 'Ruskin School' at Wimbledon. Christian religious principles were instilled in him from childhood. But the search for truth led him to Swami Vivekananda's teachings of Vedanta in 1895–96. This offered her his lifelong services in search of truth and she relocated to India. She came to Calcutta on 28 January, where she was ordained into celibacy on 25 March 1898 and was named Sister Nivedita by Swami Vivekananda. After the death of Swami Vivekananda in July 1902 he renounced the purely spiritual Ramakrishna Order and began to take an active interest in the Indian struggle for independence. He also maintained his relationship with the order.
