കണ്ണിമാങ്ങപോലും കൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ ആ
മാവ്‌ കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിച്ചു. അവയെല്ലാം വളര്‍ന്നു.
മാങ്ങകള്‍ നിറഞ്ഞ്‌ അതിന്റെ ഭാരംകൊണ്ട്‌
കൊമ്പുകളെല്ലാം താഴ്ചത്തി തേന്മാവ്‌ നിന്തു.

ആമാന്തോപ്പ്‌ വഴിച്ലണിക്കായി പൊട്ടിച്ചിട്ടിരുന്ന
കല്ലുകള്‍ക്ക്‌ ചിറകു വച്ചതുപോലെ അവ
ഓരോന്നും'തേന്താ വിന്റെ ദേഹത്ത്‌
ആഞ്ഞുപതിച്ചു. ഉരുളന്‍ കല്ലുകള്‍കൊണ്ട്‌
കുട്ടികള്‍മാമ്പഴം എറിഞ്ഞുവീഴ്ത്തി തിന്നു.

കുട്ടികളും കിളികളും
