As one premiere institute of the formerly District of Burdwan and presently the District of Paschim Bardhaman, Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol, has long been engaged in the dissemination of knowledge and culture amongst the students from mainly the borderlands of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
