सिंदबाद को समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि क्या करें। घाटी के किनारे इतने उबड़-खाबड़ लग रहे थे कि उन पर चढ़ने की कोई संभावना नहीं थी। सिंदबाद ने घाटी के चारों ओर देखा। उसे जमीन पर बड़े-बड़े हीरे पड़े मिले। घाटी के चारों ओर बड़े-बड़े सांप थे जो एक हाथी को भी खा सकते थे। रात होते ही वे अपने गड्ढों से बाहर आ गए। दिन के दौरान, सांप विशाल शक्तिशाली पक्षियों, रॉक्स से छिप गए।

सिंदबाद को एक छोटी सी गुफा मिली और उसमें रात बिताने का फैसला किया। उसने गुफा के प्रवेश द्वार पर एक बड़ा सा पत्थर लगा दिया ताकि साँप उसमें प्रवेश न कर सकें। लेकिन गुफा के बाहर फुफकारने की आवाज के कारण वह ठीक से सो नहीं पाया। जैसे ही दिन का प्रकाश हुआ, सभी सांप अपने छेद में चले गए। सिंदबाद गुफा से बाहर आया। वह हीरे पर चला गया। उसने खाना खाया और कुछ देर सो गया। अचानक सिंदबाद जाग गया क्योंकि उसके पास मांस का एक बड़ा टुकड़ा गिर गया था। मांस के कुछ और टुकड़े नीचे गिर गए। उन्हें याद आया कि कैसे स्थानीय व्यापारी उनके लिए हीरे ले जाने के लिए विशाल चील (रॉक्स) का उपयोग करते थे, और कैसे वे मांस के बड़े टुकड़ों को उनके लिए भोजन के रूप में घाटी में फेंक देते थे, आदि।

Sindbad was sailing on a ship with his stock of goods to trade with several other merchants. Soon they reached an island. All his friends went there to collect fruits and flowers. But Sindbad went to a shady place and had food there. Later he slept under the trees. When he got up he found that the ship had left and he was alone there. Then he went to something that looked like a big white ball. It was so high and so smooth that he could not climb to the top of it. Later he saw a huge, huge and wonderful bird named 'Rock' coming towards the ball-like object. Then he realized that it was the 'Rock' egg and the bird was coming for him. When the bird came there, he hurriedly tied his turban to one of the legs of the huge bird. Then the bird flew away with Sindbad. It landed on the ground between huge and big mountains. Sindbad found a small cave and decided to spend the night in it. He put a big stone at the entrance of the cave so that snakes could not enter it. But he could not sleep properly because of the sound of hissing outside the cave. As soon as daylight came, all the snakes went into their holes. Sindbad came out of the cave. He went to the diamond. He ate food and slept for a while. Suddenly Sindbad woke up because a huge piece of meat had fallen beside him. A few more pieces of meat fell down. They remembered how local merchants used to use huge roux to carry diamonds for them, and how they would throw large pieces of meat into the valley as food for them, etc.

Sindbad collected a large number of diamonds in one go. He kept them in his wallet and tied them around his waist. Then he tied a large piece of meat in the middle of his back with his turban. He lay down with his face on the ground. Just then a huge rock descended and picked up the piece of meat along with Sindbad and flew to the top of the rocky walls of the valley. He was dropped in a nest. Some local merchants were already present in that nest. He heard the story of Sindbad. So they helped him find a ship to go home. Thus Sindbad returned to Baghdad. He became very rich. He gave money to the poor and lived peacefully in his house.
