Answer:
Let the given Q.E. be p(x) = 2x² – 5x + 3
Now p(1) = 2(1)² – 5(1) + 3
= 2 – 5 + 3 = 0
∴ 1 is a root of 2x² – 5x + 3 = 0
also p(32) = 2(32)2 – 5(32) + 3
= 2 × 94 – 152 + 3
= 92 + 3 – 152
= 9+6−152 = 0
∴ 32 is also a root of 2x² – 5x + 3 = 0.

Answer:
Given: x² – 10x + 9 = 0
⇒ x² – 10x = -9

⇒ (x – 5)² = 16
∴ x – 5 = ± 4
∴ x – 5 = 4 (or) x – 5 = -4
⇒ x = 9 (or) x = 1

Given: x² – 5x + 5 = 0
⇒ x² – 5x = 5
