Celebrations of Dev Diwali

Dev Diwali is celebrated with much enthusiasm and fervor by the people of Varanasi and also by the visiting tourists. The festival of Dev Deepawali is mainly celebrated on the river bank and all the ghats of Varanasi stand testimony to the grand occasion. Everyone is mesmerized by the glitter of millions of lamps on the river side.

Stairs along the ghats are lined up with millions of earthen diyas, glittering in the night, that too in the brightness of a Poornima (full moon), the scene becomes much more scintillating.
